I’m Kristin Kenny, MSN, APRN, FNP-C, and I’ve spent nearly 30 years in nursing, including more than seven years in aesthetic medicine. As a longtime New London area resident, I began my healthcare career as a nurse’s aide before advancing to become a licensed practical nurse, registered nurse, and eventually a family nurse practitioner. I earned my bachelor’s degree from Central Connecticut State University before completing my master’s degree in advanced nursing practice at Chamberlain University.
I believe aesthetic care should be personal, honest, approachable, and grounded in safety, trust, and evidence-based medicine. This philosophy is what led me to open Solara Medical Aesthetics in Niantic, CT. With both a clinical background and an artistic eye, I focus on natural-looking results that help patients feel confident and comfortable in their own skin. I believe aesthetic medicine should never feel intimidating or one-size-fits-all. I look forward to reconnecting with familiar faces and welcoming new patients into a comfortable, inclusive environment.

Dr. Jean-Carlos Jimenez
MEDICAL DIRECTOR
Jean-Carlos Jimenez is a dedicated medical doctor with a passion for providing exceptional care to his patients. Originally from Staten Island, NY, Dr. Jimenez embarked on his medical journey with a residency at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, FL, followed by further training at Saint Joseph’s Medical Center, NYMC affiliate in Yonkers, NY. With board certification in Family Medicine, Dr. Jimenez currently serves as the Section Chief in Hospital Medicine at Sharon Hospital.
Throughout his career, he has placed a strong emphasis on the quality of care, ensuring that each patient is treated as an individual with their unique needs addressed. With over 10 years of experience, he has developed a comprehensive approach to health management, aiming to combine well-rounded care with aesthetics.
Outside of his medical profession, Dr. Jimenez finds joy in spending quality time with his loved ones, cherishing moments, and creating lasting memories. He believes in the importance of nurturing family bonds and making the most of precious moments together.
Additionally, he indulges in his love for culinary arts. He enjoys the art of cooking and takes pleasure in recreating some of the best dishes he has ever tasted. This passion for culinary exploration serves as a creative outlet and allows him to unwind from the demands of his profession.
With his unwavering commitment to patient well-being, his dedication to family, and his diverse range of interests, Jean-Carlos Jimenez continues to make a positive impact in the field of medicine, striving to enhance the lives of those he serves through holistic care and a personal touch.
